Welcome to MyCofounder. By using our platform, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions. MyCofounder connects investors, skilled cofounders, and project owners, providing tools and services to help startups grow from scratch. We also publish profiles of cofounders and project/startup details on the platform, ensuring confidentiality and security for sensitive information.

2. Services Offered

  • Connecting Cofounders and Investors: Our platform enables startup founders to connect with potential investors and cofounders with specific expertise.

  • Startup Development Support: We offer resources and guidance to help startups build their businesses from the ground up.

  • Profile Publishing: Project owners and cofounders can choose to showcase their profiles on our platform for potential collaborations.

3. Registration and User Obligations

By registering as an investor, cofounder, or project owner, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information.

  • Keep your account information secure.

  • Engage with other users in a professional and respectful manner.

  • Not use the platform for any illegal or unethical activities.

4. Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)

We take confidentiality very seriously. By using MyCofounder, all parties (investors, cofounders, and project owners) agree to the following Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA):

  • Non-Disclosure of Confidential Information: You agree not to disclose or use any confidential information related to projects, business plans, or any other proprietary information shared on the platform without the express permission of the project owner or MyCofounder.

  • Protection of Intellectual Property: All intellectual property shared on MyCofounder remains the sole property of its owner. Unauthorized use, copying, or distribution of this information is strictly prohibited.

  • Duration: This agreement remains in effect for 5 years after the disclosure of any confidential information, even if you no longer use the platform.

5. Data Collection and Use

MyCofounder complies with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) in Canada and Quebec’s Act Respecting the Protection of Personal Information, including recent amendments (formerly known as Bill 64). By using our platform:

  • You expressly consent to the collection and use of your personal data in accordance with our privacy policy.

  • Your information will only be shared with your consent, and you have the right to withdraw consent at any time.

  • We implement robust security measures to protect your data from loss, theft, or unauthorized access.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

All content published on MyCofounder, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and design elements, is the property of MyCofounder or the respective project owners. You may not reproduce, copy, or use any content without permission.

7. User Conduct

By using the platform, you agree to:

  • Respect the rights of other users, including intellectual property and confidentiality.

  • Not engage in any activities that harm or attempt to steal information, ideas, or business strategies.

  • Use the platform for lawful purposes only.

8. Termination of Services

MyCofounder reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time if you are found to be in violation of these terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

MyCofounder is not responsible for any losses or damages that may arise from the use of our platform or the actions of other users, including investors or cofounders. This includes, but is not limited to, direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Canada and the Province of Quebec. Any disputes arising from the use of our platform will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Montreal, Quebec.

11. Consent

By using the MyCofounder platform, you consent to these terms and services as well as our privacy policy.

12. Electronic Signature

You agree that validating your registration on the platform serves as an electronic signature and constitutes full acceptance of these terms and services.

13. Modification of Terms

MyCofounder reserves the right to modify these terms and services at any time. Users will be notified of any changes and must accept the new conditions to continue using the platform.
